I'm off to a C2R Scrapbooking Weekend!

Well, it's about time I made it to one of the crops!

I had to give up my spot for an A to Z Scrapbooking scrap weekend in January due to work. Couldn't commit to the full C2R Scrapbooking weekend in April. And thought I wasn't going to make it this weekend due to a soccer tournament. Lucky for me it worked out that we didn't have the soccer tournament this weekend, so off I am to my first Crops 2 Remember scrap weekend!!

I am quite fortunate to personally know the 4 mega talented ladies who brainstormed and put Crops 2 Remember in motion.

I'm off now as I still have to pack. Scott will be glad as many of my scrap supplies have been lying on the dining room table for months. Now they'll make their way into my bags and will hopefully be completed pages after this weekend. To be updated next week...

Friday the 13th at Angel's

I FINALLY got myself to a Friday night crop at Angel's. It was a great night visiting with Naomi and Lanetta. I was able to get 1 project completed and began working on another.

What, Me Crafting????

I know, you're in shock! Me too! As I said in my earlier post, I needed a gift for Monday AM and decided to make something. I'm way too long overdue to scrap and craft. MUCH needed creative thinking time. It was wonderful and too short. Here's a photo of my table loaded with the supplies for my project.

Can't post the project photo just yet, but will do (hopefully) soon. I do want to say THANK YOU! to Jessica who created this project. I can't wait for your class on the 19th!

I GOT A CRICUT!!!

I was at Angel's Scrapbooking store last Sunday morning in need of letters from their die cut machine. Of course I was making a last minute gift (needed for Monday AM!) and in a little bit of a panic. Nothing new for me, Ms. Procrastinator... The letters have to be ordered, so no chance of getting them on Sunday. The gal helping me was trying to offer suggestions on where I might find letters on such short notice. As we talked she mentioned that the Cricut machine was on sale at Michael's. So off I went to Michael's. Thankfully they still had them. Bought the cricut and less than two hours later I had my letters!!!!!!

It was so simple. A little noisy as it cuts, but that's okay. Lots of possibilities for this little machine. Now I'll be looking for additional fonts (cartridges) to play with.

Digital Scrapbooking

I have a couple of friends who are doing some digital scrapbooking. I'm struggling to get ANY form of scrapping done lately, but I enjoy keeping up with all the new products and techniques.

This morning I was reading Nan's scrap blog and decided to check out the digital scrapbooking link she referred to.

I don't know anything about Photoshop, but I'm going to start learning. It'll be a slow process for me, I'm sure. But that's OKAY, I'm the turtle...

I'm Fiskateer # 1032!

I joined the Fiskateers this past December. The link to the Fiskateer website is posted to the right if anyone wants to check is out.

Indy Makes His Valentines

This year we decided that we could cut little rectangular papers just as easily as buying them! I had just purchased a DreamKuts paper cutter and Indy was my product tester. It worked great. Here are a few photos of Indy's work in progress...

My First Scrapbook Expo!!!!

The Orange County Scrapbook Expo at the Fairground. I've never been to a Scrapbook Expo before. Pretty incredible since most of my scrap mates are pro's at attending the Expo's and CKU's etc. I hadn't signed up for any classes or crops, just wanted to browse around and check it out. I visited with Jessica and Nan briefly at the Zutter booth. Indy did a make and take to test out the Bind-it-All. I've already purchased the DreamKuts and LOVE it. We were quite impressed with the Bind-it-All and will certainly be buying that soon too. You can check out the machines at www.ZutterZisters.com. Overall it was a good experience. Next time around, I think I'll sign up for some of the classes :)
